Our Core Capabilities
Our Expertise

Complementary & Perpendicular Medicine

Much of our work focuses on supplements, nutraceuticals, nutricosmetics, repurposed drugs, and other interventions relevant to aging, resilience, and chronic disease.

Clients usually reach out to us at one of several inflection points:

Claims & Regulatory

  • Evidence limited to single ingredients, not the finished product
  • Regulatory file fragmented across vendors, agencies, years, and formats
  • Claims under challenge by competitors or regulators

Clinical Development

  • Formulation changed after the published study
  • Product due for a randomized controlled trial
  • Completed trial ready for peer-reviewed publication

Market Alignment

  • Claims not resonating with consumer need states
  • HCP adoption stalled at “interesting”
  • Retail diligence asking for stronger data

We usually work alongside your experienced in-house teams or with your CROs. Our small, consistent team gets to know your product, your people, and the complexity therein. This continuity has translated to a 3.7x return on client spend (Updated: 2 Sept 2026, N = 11 clients).

There is a universe of candidates with strong mechanistic and preclinical evidence. Many remain understudied because they are difficult to patent. Meanwhile, the category is crowded and the bar for differentiation keeps rising. If you have a product with IP, congratulations. If not, we can help you build protectable assets.

“Complementary” and “perpendicular” are deliberate terms. Complementary interventions enhance or complete established allopathic care. Perpendicular interventions act along a separate therapeutic axis without diminishing established treatments. We are unable to support products based on weak or biased evidence, or where the health risks outweigh the potential benefits.
